HUBUNGAN KARAKTER KERJA KERAS DENGAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA KELAS V SDN 12 SINGKAWANG

Abstract


This study aims to (1) describe the character of the hard work of grade V students at SDN 12 Singkawang. (2) Describe the science literacy skills of grade V students at SDN 12 Singkawang. (3) Describe the relationship between the character of hard work and the science literacy ability of grade V students at SDN 12 Singkawang. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with a descriptive method with the design used is an associative research design. The population in this study is all class V consisting of 2 classes, namely V A and V B which totals 60 students. The sampling technique used in this study is the Saturated Sampling technique. The data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires and description questions. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical data analysis and correlation data analysis and the results of the study showed (1) From the results of the research conducted at SDN 12 Singkawang, the average character of hard work reached 67%, including high criteria. (2) From the results of research conducted at SDN 12 Singkawang, the average science literacy ability reached 47.33, which was included in the very poor criteria. (3) There is a relationship between the character of hard work and the science literacy ability of grade V students of SDN 12 Singkwang with a determinant coefficient of 0.034% t calculation of 0.140 and a correlation coefficient value of 0.018.
