PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS I SD NEGERI 1 KOTA LANGSA

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of effectiveness of the PjBL (Project Based Learning) learning model in improving the ability of Beginning Reading in grade 1 students at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis using the ANOVA test. The research sample consisted of grade 1A and grade 1B students at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. The results of the study showed that: (1) before treatment (pre-test), the average beginning reading scores of students in the experimental and control groups were almost the same (55.3 vs. 54.8). However, after treatment (post-test), the average score of the experimental group experienced a much greater increase (86.4), while the control group only experienced a smaller increase (69.2). To find out whether the difference in scores between the two groups was statistically significant, a one-way ANOVA test was conducted. Interpretation of ANOVA Test Results: F-count = 9.87, which is greater than F-table (? = 0.05), indicating that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. p-value = 0.003 (<0.05), which means rejecting the null hypothesis (H?) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (H?). This shows that the PjBL learning model has a significant effect on improving students' initial reading ability compared to conventional methods. Thus, based on these statistical results, it can be concluded that the use of the PjBL model has a significant and positive impact on improving students' initial reading ability.
