How to Write the Title, the Name, and the Author’s Address
Title Maximum 12 words in Indonesian or 10 words in English with center-aligned text, using Times New Roman font size eighteen. Meanwhile, the author’s name (without academic degree), and the affiliation address of the author, should be written with the center text alignment also under the title of the article. The author should give two line spaces between the title and the author’s name. Then, the space between the author’s affiliation address and the abstract title is one space. The keywords must be written below the overall abstract for all words. Those should be arranged in alphabetical order and be separated by semicolons maximally three to five words.
The responsible author, the correspondence author, or the corresponding author must be written first and then followed by the second, the third, and so on. The communication regarding the article revision and the final statement will be informed via email to the correspondence author only. If there is more than one author, the author’s name should be written down separately by a comma (,). If the author’s name consists of at least two words, the first name should not be shortened If the author’s names are only one word, it should be written as it is.

- Manuscripts that do not comply with the J-PiMat writing format will be returned to the author before being reviewed.
- The manuscript should include the following structured components in order: (a) Article Title, (b) Author’s Name (without academic title), (c) Author’s Institutional Affiliation, (d) Author’s Email, (e) Abstract and Keywords, (f) Introduction, (g) Literature Review, (h) Research Method, (i) Results and Discussion, (j) Conclusion, and (k) References.
- Main headings (Introduction, Literature Review, Research Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion) must be numbered using Arabic numerals and written in bold with title case formatting, left-aligned, and without underlining. Subheadings should follow level-two numbering, written in bold, sentence case, and also left-aligned.
- Manuscripts can be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English. The length should be between 10 to 12 pages, including any tables or figures. The article must follow the provided template and be formatted for direct publication (camera-ready), on A4-size paper (210 x 297 mm) with the following margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Terms from foreign or uncommon languages should be italicized. Each paragraph must start 6 mm from the left margin with no extra space between paragraphs. All numbers should use Arabic numerals, except at the start of a sentence.
- Tables and figures must appear directly after the paragraph where they are first mentioned. Each figure should include a caption below the image (Figure Caption), and each table should include a title above the table (Table Caption), both numbered using Arabic numerals. Figures and tables should be centered on the page or text group. If a table or figure is large, it may be centered on the full page. Tables should not use vertical lines, and horizontal lines should be used sparingly to highlight key points.
The Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text
1. The title of the manuscript,
The title should be informative and written both briefly and clearly. It cannot diverse multi interpretations. It has to be pinpointed with the issues that will be discussed. The beginning word is written in a capital case and symmetrically. The article title does not contain any uncommon abbreviation. The main ideas should be written first and followed then by their explanations. Meanwhile, the abstract has to be written within 200 words maximum and followed by three to five keywords.
2. INTRODUCTION
The introduction outlines the background of the problem being solved, the issues related to the problem being solved, a review of previous research conducted by other researchers that is relevant to the research being conducted. The objectives of the activity and the problem solving plan are presented in this section. This section is written as much as a maximum of 20% of the body of the article.
3. METHODS
The methods section should be written briefly, concisely, clearly, but sufficiently. It explains the use of research methods, implementation procedures, tools, materials, or instruments should be well explained, but not theoretical. If deemed necessary, there is an appendix regarding the instrument grid or fragments of materials used. If there are statistical formulas used as part of the method, commonly used formulas do not need to be written. For example, any specific conditions set by the researcher in order to collect and analyze data are explained in this method section. This section accounts for a maximum of 10% (for qualitative research) or a maximum of 15% (for quantitative research) of the body of the article.
4. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
To facilitate understanding and reading, the research results are described first, followed by the discussion section. The results subheading and discussion subheading are presented separately. This section should be the largest part, at least 60% of the entire body of the article. Separate between Results and Discussion.
Results
Results can be presented in the form of tables of figures, graphs, verbal descriptions, or a combination of the three. Tables, graphs, or figures should not be too long, too large, or too numerous. Authors should use a variety of tabular presentations, graphs, or verbal descriptions. Tables and graphs presented should be referenced in the text. The way tables are written is shown in Table 1. Tables do not contain vertical (upright) lines and horizontal (flat) lines only at the head and tail of the table. The font size of table and figure entries may be reduced. The numbers in the table should not be repeated in the verbal narrative either before or after it.
Discussion
The discussion is intended to interpret the research results in accordance with the theory used and not just explain the findings. The discussion should be enriched by referring to previous research results that have been published in scientific journals.
It is preferable that references are not direct quotes or do not contain too many direct quotes. However, if there is a direct quotation of less than 40 words, it should be written within a paragraph (not separated) and enclosed in quotation marks (“...”). If the direct quotation is 40 words or more, it should be written in a block (separate from the paragraph), indented half an inch from the margin, without quotation marks and followed by the name, year, page in parentheses (name, year:page).
If a statement is the essence of several references, all sources are written by mentioning all references in alphabetical order and semicolons (;) to separate between sources, for example (Sahlberg, 2012; Schunk, 2012; Retnowati, Fathoni, & Chen, 2018). For translated sources, refer to the original author's name, the year of the translated book and the original book: for example, see the bibliography of the original (Schunk, 2012a) and Schunk (2012b) translation.
All tables and figures that you include in your document should be in 1-column or full-paper-size order, to make it easier for readers to discern the meaning of the figures. If you use Word, use Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType equations, written in the center, and numbered equations starting from (1), (2) and so on.
Discussion of the research results obtained is presented in the form of theoretical descriptions, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Research results should be displayed in the form of graphs or tables. For graphs, you can follow the format for diagrams and pictures.
5. CONCLUSION (CLOSING)
The conclusion does not simply repeat the data, but is the substance of the meaning. It can be a statement about what is expected, as stated in the “Introduction” chapter which can finally produce the “Results and Discussion” chapter so that there is compatibility. In addition, prospects for the development of research results and prospects for further research applications can also be added in the future (based on the results and discussion).
6. APPRECIATION OF THANKS (Required)
This section contains thanks to sponsors, fund donors, resource persons, or parties who play an important role in the implementation of the research.
7. LITERATURE
All references used in the article must be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and the minimum number is 50% of all references) published in the last 10 years. Each article must have at least ten references. Must include at least one reference from an article that has been published in J-PiMat. Your bibliography is REQUIRED to use referencing tools (mandely, etc) with APA style.
