MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU DI SMP SUSTER PONTIANAK
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Manajemen kepala sekolah memiliki peran sentral dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana strategi manajemen kepala sekolah berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru di SMP Suster Pontianak. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kinerja guru dalam konteks manajerial kepala sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen dengan teknik triangulasi untuk meningkatkan validitas hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan strategi manajemen yang mencakup perencanaan program berbasis kebutuhan sekolah, pengorganisasian tugas secara sistematis, serta pelaksanaan dan supervisi yang berorientasi pada peningkatan profesionalisme guru. Selain itu, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan sumber daya dan dukungan eksternal, yang diatasi melalui pendekatan kolaboratif dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas manajemen kepala sekolah berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja

ABSTRACT
The principal’s management plays a crucial role in enhancing teacher performance and improving educational quality in schools. This study aims to analyze how school principals' management strategies contribute to improving teacher performance at SMP Suster Pontianak. A qualitative approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of teacher performance within the principal’s managerial framework. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, with triangulation techniques used to enhance research validity. The findings indicate that the principal implements management strategies encompassing needs-based program planning, systematic task organization, and performance-oriented supervision to enhance teacher professionalism. Furthermore, the primary challenges encountered include limited resources and external support, which are addressed through a collaborative approach involving various stakeholders. The study's implications suggest that effective principal management significantly contributes to improving teacher performance and student academic success. Therefore, policies supporting the strengthening of school leadership capacity are essential to achieving more optimal educational goals.
