PENGARUH MEDIA BONEKA TANGAN BERBASIS BERMAIN PERAN TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK SISWA KELAS IV SDN 09 RANTAU SELATAN

Abstract


This study aims to test the effect of role-playing-based hand puppet media on the listening skills of fourth-grade students of SDN 09 Rantau Selatan. The research method used is quantitative experiment with one group design. The population of the study was 25 fourth-grade students who were also used as research samples. The data collection instrument used an observation sheet. The results of the study showed a significant difference in students' listening skills before and after the application of role-playing-based hand puppet media. Before the treatment, the majority of students scored below the KKM with the highest percentage (20%) in the range of 57-59. After the treatment, the distribution of students' scores increased significantly with a range of 78-98, where the highest percentage (34%) was in the range of 90-92. Hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) with a t-count of -17.744 which showed a significant effect of the use of role-playing-based hand puppet media on students' listening skills. This study concludes that role-playing-based hand puppet media is effective in improving students' listening skills because it creates interesting, interactive, and enjoyable learning so that students are more motivated to focus and listen well.
