KEBUTUHAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DIGITAL UNTUK BAHASA JAWA DI SEKOLAH

Abstract


Advances in educational technology demand innovations in learning media that can meet the needs of students, especially in Javanese language learning, which has been dominated by conventional media. This study aims to identify student needs and formulate strategies for developing digital learning media that are appropriate for the characteristics and challenges of Javanese language learning in schools. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature study approach, referring to Creswell's needs assessment theory to map the gap between ideal and actual conditions. Data sources were obtained from scientific articles, research reports, and relevant publications that were analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that students need learning media that is interactive, interesting, easily accessible, and suitable for the learning style of digital natives. Various previous studies have proven that Android applications, digital comics, interactive multimedia, podcasts, and game-based learning are effective in increasing motivation, vocabulary comprehension, language skills, and preservation of the Javanese script. The recommended digital media development strategies include comprehensive needs analysis, selection of technology appropriate to the school context, integration of local culture, and application of development models such as ADDIE to ensure the quality, feasibility, and effectiveness of the product. This study emphasizes the importance of developing digital media as a strategic step to improve the quality of Javanese language learning and preserve regional languages in the technological era.
