Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Ditinjau Perbedaan Gender pada Materi Aritmatika Sosial

Abstract


Abstract. The research was meant to describe critical thinking skill of students' mathematics that viewed from gender difference. This research used qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research was students of VII grade at SMPN 107 Jakarta in amount of 34 students. The collecting data used test instrument and interview. The result of study indicated that critical thinking skill of female students better than male students by deviation 6%. Nevertheless critical thinking skill of the gender difference categorized less.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 107 Jakarta  dengan jumlah 34 siswa. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan wawancara. Mendapatkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa perempuan lebih baik daripada siswa laki-laki dengan selisih antara siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan ialah 6%. Namun kemampuan berpikir kritis dari perbedaan gender tersebut dikategorikan kurang.
