OPTIMALISASI MANAJEMEN KELAS MELALUI MODEL OTORITAS GURU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan optimalisasi penggunaan model otoritas guru dalam manajemen kelas di SD untuk menemukan seberapa jauh peran otoritas guru berdampak pada siswa. Disain riset ini menggunakan case study research untuk memotret fonomena dan fakta pembelajaran di kelas melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan angket respon siswa terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dilakukan guru dan siswa di SD Panca Setya 2 Sintang, Kalimantan Barat. Validitas data diperoleh melalui metode triangulasi sumber dan teknik kemudian data dianalisis untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan secara induktif. Hasil riset menunjukan bahwa peran otoritas guru memiliki peran strategis manajemen kelas melalui fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi belajar. Peran strategis otoritas guru tersebut didukung dengan adanya pengakuan respon siswa terhadap management yang diterapkan guru dengan hasil yang menunjukan bahwa 89% siswa lebih mengalami bahwa guru menerapkan otoritas model humanistis, dan model otoritas demokratis sebesar 84%, dan model behavioristik 79%. Pembelajaran akan semakin menyenangkan dan berhasil bila guru mengoptimalisasi serta mengkombinasikan keunggulan ketiga model otoritas tersebut dalam management pengelolaan pembelajaran melalui variasi metode, materi, pola hubungan sosial dengan menciptakan kondisi kelas sebagai epsentrum belajar.
