ANALISIS METODE BERMAIN PERAN BERBASIS NILAI KEARIFAN LOKAL UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN SIKAP TOLERANSI SISWA SD DALAM PRAKTIK KEBHINEKAAN

Abstract


This study aimed to analyze the implementation of a role-playing method based on local wisdom values in Social Studies (IPS) learning and examine the development of students’ tolerance attitudes through its implementation. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted in Grade V at SDN Rancamulya, Sumedang. The subjects were fifth-grade students and their classroom teacher. Data were collected through participatory observations and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was established through technique triangulation. The findings showed that the implementation of role-playing based on local wisdom values integrating mutual cooperation, consensus-based deliberation, and tepa selira was categorized as very good, with an achievement percentage of 83.3%. The highest achievement was found in the student social interaction dimension, indicating that local wisdom-based scenarios effectively stimulated active communication and cooperation among students. Students’ tolerance attitudes in practicing diversity also developed at a very good level, with an achievement percentage of 83.3%. The respect indicator obtained the highest score, while the acceptance and appreciation indicators remained in the good category and required continuous habituation. Thus, integrating local wisdom-based role-playing into Social Studies learning is an effective approach to developing elementary students’ tolerance attitudes in practicing diversity.
