BUDAYA POSITIF SEKOLAH DALAM MEMBENTUK STUDENT WELL-BEING DAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


This study aimed to synthesize research findings on the role of positive school culture in shaping student well-being and character among elementary school students. The study employed an Integrative Literature Review (ILR) approach based on the framework developed by Whittemore and Knafl. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, and Garuda, covering publications from 2019 to 2025. Of the 65 articles identified, 17 articles were selected as the primary sources through a screening and full-text screening process. Data were analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify patterns of relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that positive school culture is developed through habituation, teacher role modeling, healthy social relationships, and sustained school system support. Such a culture contributes to the development of student well-being and strengthens the internalization of students’ character values. This study produced a conceptual model positioning positive school culture as a foundation for fostering students’ well-being and character holistically. These findings provide an integrative perspective for developing elementary education that is more responsive to students’ needs and well-being. The study highlights the importance of creating a supportive school environment that promotes both students’ psychological well-being and character development.
