REPRESENTASI NILAI SOLIDARITAS SOSIAL DALAM TRADISI ANTAR PAKATAN MASYARAKAT MELAYU SAMBAS DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the procession structure, representation, and functions of social solidarity values in the Antar Pakatan tradition of the Sambas Malay community in Makrampai Village, Tebas District, Sambas Regency. The study employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach from a literary sociology perspective, using Pierre Bourdieu’s social practice theory. The subjects consisted of three informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was established through source and technique triangulation. The findings showed that the Antar Pakatan tradition was conducted through preparation, implementation on motong day (hari kecil), and hari besar as the culmination of the celebration. The tradition represents social solidarity through mutual care, togetherness, cooperation, and sincerity in helping hosts according to individual abilities. These values function to reduce the burden on hosts, strengthen social relationships, foster a spirit of cooperation, and facilitate cultural transmission to younger generations. The findings also indicate that the Antar Pakatan tradition is relevant as a local-wisdom-based learning resource for Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.
