Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore the impact of dependence on artificial intelligence (AI) on students' analytical and creative abilities. In the digital era, AI has become a crucial tool in the learning process, but excessive use may affect students' fundamental skills. The research method involves interviews conducted via Google Forms with students from the Economics Education Program at FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, providing insights into how AI influences learning effectiveness, technological skills, social interactions, and issues related to privacy and reliability. The findings indicate that AI assists students in understanding material, finding additional learning resources, and enhancing learning efficiency. However, a high dependency on AI can reduce students' critical thinking and creativity. Students who are overly reliant on AI demonstrate a decline in analytical and creative skills, which are essential for academic and professional success. This study suggests the need for a balance between using AI and developing intellectual and social skills to maximize the benefits of technology while maintaining the competencies required in the workforce.
